Project Share Golf Tournament

The Spokane Advertising Federation is proud to announce its sixth annual Charity Golf Tournament to benefit Project Share, which will be held September 10th at MeadowWood Golf Course in Liberty Lake.

The tournament is a best-ball scramble with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. There will be various games throughout the course, with individual and team prizes and a raffle drawing during the BBQ at the end of the day. Be sure to arrive early for free play on the driving range and the putting green. All player's fees include golf cart, deli lunch, and BBQ after the game.

Don't miss the hole-in-one contest for a new car and a drop-zone contest for a chance to win up to $500. Both are sponsored by the Inland Empire Toyota Dealers Association.

"This is a great event to get area golf enthusiasts out for a fun day on the links and to raise money for a very worthwhile cause," said Jason Johnston, Spokane Advertising Federation Past-President. "When the Ad Fed was looking for a charity event, Project Share was a natural choice and golf makes so much sense because the tournament is held prior to the winter heating season and it can help bolster funds."

Project Share is a community-funded program sponsored by area electric and natural gas utility suppliers to provide one-time emergency energy assistance to families in our region. Utilities, their customers and employees help support the fund by adding contributions to their monthly energy bill or through automatic monthly pledges. Project Share relies solely on charitable donations for its support.

"Project Share has helped more than 17,000 families in our region over the past five years," said Christine McCabe, Avista Utilities Project Share Coordinator. "It relies solely on donations from utility customers, businesses, and organizations like the Spokane Advertising Federation. This charity golf tournament is a great event to raise awareness of Project Share and to help raise funds."
