A Red Shoe Event & Art Auction
Featuring Contemporary and Modern Art
At the end of every year, AAF Spokane (Spokane Advertising Federation)
hosts A Red Shoe Event holiday party and art auction to raise funds for
the Toni M. Robideaux Scholarship Fund, which honors her contributions
to the Spokane advertising, art, and design communities.
Where: The Lincoln Center, 1316 N Lincoln St, Spokane
Date: Friday, November 13, 2009
Time: 6:00 to 10:00 pm., Auction begins at 7:00 pm
Tickets: $30 per person in advance, $40 at the door, Complimentary for Members*

Contemporary and Modern Art submitted by regional artists along with unfinished furniture embellished by design professionals will be up for auction. The public is invited to enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres with the artists while viewing these amazing pieces.
An exhibition of this year's work will be available for preview in
November. If you are unable to attend the event but would like to bid

"It is very exciting to see this event come together," said John Robideaux. "It's especially fun to see artists and friends donate their time and talent to create art for the auction. Toni would find art in almost everything she touched. I know she inspired many people to become more than they thought they could be or do. The original "red shoes" were a creation that came from Kathy Seacrest, Design Spike, and Toni when Kathy worked for us. I'm thankful to know that others will be inspired in Toni's name, now and in the future."

Looking for an opportunity to share your artistic talent? Fine artists are invited to submit work for a juried art auction. Please review our entry rules our and download the registration form. In addition to fine art, we will feature unfinished furniture embellished by professionals working in the advertising and design business.
The Toni M. Robideaux Scholarship Fund recognizes and rewards student achievement and excellence in advertising arts. All funds generated go directly to students currently enrolled in visual and performing arts, advertising, graphic design, photography, music or marketing communication programs at accredited local/regional colleges and universities.
Five area college students were awarded $1,000 in March of 2009:

- Jaron Ballard, Graphic Design, Spokane Falls Community College
- Jason Bansemer, Web Design, Spokane Falls Community College
- Laura Chang, Graphic Design and Fine Art, Spokane Falls Community College
- Mario Barientos, Graphic Design, North Idaho College
Toni M. Robideaux Scholarship Fund "Red Shoe" lapel pins are available for $5; blank note cards with original artwork by Toni for $10.

AAF Spokane Cancellation & Refund Policy:
- Luncheon/Event cancellations must be received prior to NOON two business days before the luncheon/event to receive a refund.
- No-show's and late cancellations will be charged the full luncheon/event price.
- If you would like to send a substitute, you are welcome...just be sure to contact us at saf@spokaneadfed.com or 509-328-5855.
If you make a reservation but are unable to attend, AAF Spokane is still responsible for the cost of your luncheon/event reservation. As we sometimes have a luncheon/event waiting list, please let us know even if you must cancel your luncheon/event reservation later than the refund deadline.
